Habitat For Humanity Teams Up For Innovative Campaign

While there are many ways to donate to any hundreds of causes, Habitat for Humanity and MCAP have come up with an innovative way to help build affordable housing for families in need. The campaign is called the Key to Hope and allows homeowners to donate an amount of money to Habitat for Humanity each time they make a mortgage payment. With MCAP matching each donation made to the Key to Hope campaign.

The campaign hopes to raise at least $1 million for Habitat for Humanity over the next five years. The president and COO of Habitat for Humanity Canada, Stewart Hardacre, commented that, "with 1.3-million Canadians unable to pay for rent and life's other necessities" that they are always looking "for new ways to engage Canadians in the fight for decent, affordable housing."
