Canada: Good and Boring?

| | Comments (0)

Recently, Paul Krugman, writer, columnist, and Nobel Prize Winner in Economic Sciences called Canada "good and boring". He didn't just say this anywhere - it was in the New York Times, so more than a few people probably saw it.

Of course, he was referring to our economic policies. And he meant it as a compliment. Apparently, in economics, boring is good and interesting is bad.

I've written about the differences between U.S. and Canadian banking systems and the theories why we didn't have the same kind of economic meltdown that those to the south of us experienced with the sub-prime mortgage crisis.

Still, every once in a while it's nice to be noticed for the right reasons. So, we're boring. I can handle that. You?
